Phoeonox Textiles makes further investment in solar power for UK manufacturing facility

Further investment in renewable energy

10 March 2023

Phoenox Textiles are delighted to announce the launch of our latest carbon reduction scheme; a major investment in renewable energy.

Inline with our commitment to sustainable manufacturing, we will be installing 612 new solar panels onto the roof of our existing manufacturing facility at Spring Grove Mill, West Yorkshire..

The new solar energy scheme will reduce our CO2 output by 46.42 tonnes which is the equivalent of driving around the world nearly 6 times in.a car. The investment is being supported by our energy partners CUB (UK), and we expect the new solar panels to be installed and fully operational by the end of 2024.

The latest initiative is part of a long series of sustainability drives by our company, which is already committed to using recycled materials wherever possible and is a zero-to-landfill operation.

"I'm so excited to announce the latest major carbon reduction scheme at Phoenox. While we still have much work to do, it is another big step in the right direction and a sign of our commitment to reducing our impact on the natural world. I can't wait to see it live and operational."
